SPOTLIGHT: Dressage Training Level Reserve Champion Diane Berry and Colorado Red Rock

In 1994 I had a severe stroke and the horse I had I could not ride.  He was a big bold WB that liked to be in the air more than on the ground.  Well since I had to learn how to ride again, I sold him and started to look for another mount.  I was at an eventing clinic and saw a young lady riding a big red horse that wasn't afraid of anything.  Well a friend of mine informed me that the horse I liked was for sale.  Holly and I worked out a deal where I could lease him for 3 months to try him out.  I took him to my former trainer whose horses I was riding because I used to ride those horses and I knew them and wasn't afraid of them.   At that time I could only ride with supervision on horses I knew.  We called him Red until I could decide on a proper name.  His name was Rack'em Up which in my mind was not a proper dressage name. So I figured he is from Colorado, he is red, and he is rock solid.  Hence, Colorado Red Rock.  I didn't buy him because he is a ASB, I bought him because when I made a mistake (and still do) he didn't and doesn't get mad at me.  Today my riding has improved and is still improving.  Rocky has learned how to get me right.  The rest is history.
